PERSONA BURST
The word "Persona" has its origins in Latin, where it referred to the mask worn by theater actors. This mask served a dual purpose: it gave the actor the appearance of the character being portrayed and allowed their voice to carry far enough to be audible to the audience.

In Carl Gustav Jung's analytical psychology, this term was adopted to describe the component of the personality that organizes an individual's relationship with society.

It reflects how each person must more or less conform to a socially predefined character to play their social role.

The ego can easily identify with the persona, leading the individual to perceive themselves as they are seen by others and lose sight of their true identity.

Thus, the persona is to be understood as a "social mask":
an image created by the ego that can potentially usurp the authentic identity of the individual.
